Exams Officer/ Timetable Lead & Cover Administrator

Location:         Beech Lodge School, Maidenhead

Hours:             35 hours per week. 8 a.m – 3:30 p.m

Term Time only plus 2 weeks (must be available for exam results week in August plus other dead-line dates).

Salary:             Dependent on experience

Start date:       ASAP

We are looking for an experienced Exams Officer to join our busy little Admin team who will also take on timetabling and some administration support.

The role of exams officer is integral in supporting the smooth running of all examination processes. You will have previous Exam Officer experience and know the schedule for running the exams calendar, ensuring all deadlines are met. You will need to be an invigilator, able to train invigilators and work closely with the SENCO ensuring the correct Access Arrangements are in place for our vulnerable children.

As we are a small school, the Exams Officer role is not a full- time appointment, however there are additional important admin areas which go alongside the Exams Officer to make it a full- time role. The provision of cover arrangements on a daily basis requires quick thinking and knowing which members of staff can be easily moved around to cover. The third important aspect of this role is Timetabling, again an astute mind with great organisational skills are essential. The rest of your time will be filled with supporting the admin team which consists of the Finance and Administration Managers and School Secretary.

The successful candidate will be flexible and willing to undertake work requests but have the ability to take initiative when necessary. Compassion, warmth and empathy towards children with social, emotional and learning difficulties is essential.
