Resilience Film Screening – 13th February

We are very fortunate to have an exclusive licence to show the ground-breaking film: “Resilience – The Biology of Stress & The Science of Hope”

We will holding a FOC screening for the Beech Lodge Community on Wednesday 13th February 2019 at 4.30pm – 6pm. The screening will be followed by a short discussion and Q&A session.

Directed by James Redford, Resilience is an award-winning one-hour documentary that delves into the science of Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) and the birth of a new movement to treat and prevent Toxic Stress. Now understood to be one of the leading causes of everything from heart disease and cancer to substance abuse and depression, extremely stressful experiences in childhood can alter brain development and have lifelong effects on health and behaviour.

The purpose of the film screening is to raise awareness so that we can all make a difference to the lives of those that have been affected by Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) and have an understanding that impacts our lives, work and practice.
