What I love about my job: Personally, I find ‘typical’ rather dull and at Beech Lodge I have the privilege of working with the most wildly fun people I have ever met (pupils and staff!). I get to form therapeutic relationships and connect with incredible humans beings. I love helping young people and their families develop a shared understanding of their experiences and for me, there is nothing more rewarding than helping young people become more able to express their vulnerabilities and acknowledge their challenges, whilst simultaneously supporting them to grow beyond these.

Who or what inspires me:
Apparently Winston Churchill defined success as consisting of “going from failure to failure without loss of enthusiasm”. I find anyone working towards their goals and dreams inspiring, but even more so when they have experienced setbacks and failures along the way. A beautiful sunset often does it for me too.

A little knows fact about me:
I was born in Singapore and lived there until I was 4 years old. I feel most at home in lush, tropical environments and I don’t think I ever adapted to the British climate.
