Ground-breaking School!

On Thursday this week we were thrilled to watch  the excavation of the foundations of our new school on the Stubbings Estate in Maidenhead.

The children donned hard hats and high vis jackets to tour the site with our three co-founders; Head Lucy Barnes, Proprietor Daniela Shanly and parent Emma Barklem. After watching the diggers at work some of the pupils were allowed sit in the cab of a large digger while the site manager Des McGuckin explained how the build would progress.

School Proprietor, Daniela Shanly, was delighted to see work on the new school get underway: “It feels quite emotional. It has taken a while but now we can really look forward to creating a lovely calm environment where our children can work and play. Demand for places is really high so I am glad that we will now be able to support many more children with emotional and social development needs from Berkshire and the surrounding counties.”
